This a beautifully written and well thought out post and it really strikes a chord with me. I too have a thirst for knowledge and am constantly learning about new things, I also spend much of my life passing on that knowledge to people I know and on the internet. As far as I am concerned, I am here to help people in whichever way I can – I am coming to realize that it doesn’t always have to be in a hands on, 1-1 way but it can be in a more broad sense. My New years resolution is to learn more and help more, and I think I can do that. I also think that committing to doing more of something is much more doable than stopping something or cutting something out! We inherently want to strive for more, don’t we?

      Absolutely, Jo.

I could not agree with you more. That drive, that hunger can give us purpose as it does in my case. What is it about helping others that gives you that passion, if you don’t mind me asking?

Reading your writing kind of pamper me in some ways. I hope this year I could get rid my selfish behavior that I have lived on more than 20 years. I want to help my friend and family member though it will cost me a lot. I agree with you, the most important thing is faith. I believe I can change. So, I WILL change. Wish me the best

Hope the best for you too.

      Mardhiah,

Thank you very much for your best wishes. Right back at you.

Congratulation! By confirming you will change you are already programming your subconscious for a great year. How will it cost you to help your friends and family if you don’t mind me asking? And, what causes you more pain, not being able to help them? Or the costs of helping them?

      Brenda,

I absolutely love your site. I am a Tony Robbins fan and what you talk about on your site resonates deeply with me. Having similar values of about purpose and values what is a good idea on how to take control of your life from your perspective?
